Adelaide Plains Equine Clinic (APEC) was established by Dr. Elizabeth Woolsey Herbert in 1997. After having established a mobile practice in 1993 she moved to the present location where we are able to hospitalize horses as well as see outpatients. APEC only sees equines incl. horses donkeys and mules. We do farm calls to the greater Gawler area and many suburbs north of Adelaide. We are a general equine practice and we can take care of most of your equine veterinary needs. We also have a retail store and we are happy to investigate products at your request.
Our Philosophy & Policies
Adelaide Plains Equine Clinic offers horse owners a reasonable and compassionate choice for your horse's care. Our aim is to help you make decisions at any level of care for your horse. We work with you to achieve your goals for your horse's benefit and health.
We do accept new clients and do accept new clients for emergencies, but we can only do this on a payment at the time of service basis.
We can now offer an on line source of credit for clients who have expensive or emergency procedures that are not budgeted for.
We appreciate clients who also respect our needs for personal time and family commitments.
We are happy to see both the amateur and professional horse owner and we are happy to educate new horse owners on the heath needs of your horses.
